Members of the New York Jersey Cattle Club share a common appreciate for the Jersey cow.
Membership in the organization is paid by annual dues. The organization is governed by an elected slate of officers and a board of directors.
Each spring, the club holds New York's Next Generation Sale. Members also compete for prizes at several shows during the year, including the New York Spring Carousel and the New York State Fair.
They also gather for their state annual meeting and a summer picnic hosted by a different farm family each year. This past year, they met for the state annual meeting in November, in conjunction with All American festivities in Louisville, Ky.
